Growing up, those teen magazines (Cosmo Girl, seventeen, Teen, etc.) that I so religiously read would have advice columns on dating and sex advice. At the time these columns were all written by female 'experts'. Anytime a girl had a question regarding blue balls, these writers would respond with something like, "If a guy says he's going to get blue balls if you stop in the middle of fooling around, he's lying and only trying to pressure you into doing something you don't want to do." And of course, I believed it.
Recalling this more than 10 years later, I asked my boyfriend if it was true. He told me that blue balls really does exist. It's just something that happens to guys. He also brought up a very good point, "How would a woman know whether blue balls are real or not, if she doesn't have balls?" Haha, that's so true. |
